Vivian is a designer and production director looking to transition into ux

Graduating from CUNY Baruch College with a BA in Graphic Communications, Vivian began her print and digital design career as an intern at Watson & Earl before moving onto Marvel Entertainment as a junior digital designer. Having also worked at PP Direct and XL Marketing (now known as Zeta Global) in email marketing and digital productions, she’s applied these skills to her freelance clients.

When not designing, Vivian enjoys video games, music, reading manga, cooking, belly dancing, looking at potential dog adoptions and many other things that would take too long to list out.
Her newest hobby at the moment is knitting.

She is currently the Production & Digital Director at Wine & Spirits Magazine.

Wine & Spirits Magazine, NYC
January 2018–Present
I helped improve single sign-in process for subscribers and migrated website from EE2 to WP with the junior systems administrator (currently in beta testing phase). I streamlined the wine submission forms with the tasting department by digitizing it with JotForm. On the print side, I acted as the liaison for the art director and publisher on feature story design concepts for the magazine.

Wine & Spirits Magazine, NYC
June 2013–December 2017
With my digital background, I improved their e-blasts with a responsive layout, redesigned and migrated their homepage and event pages to ExpressionEngine. I also helped design the front of the print magazine and gather art collateral for the art director. By January 2018, I was promoted to Production Director.

PP Direct, NYC

June 2008–April 2011
Following the company's design protocols, I created product promotion emails with copywriters. I also created 3D-renderings of new products with Illustrator and designed compendium booklet layouts for products with InDesign. When myHWH.com was launched, I was responsible for new product promotions on the homepage. I was re-hired as a freelance on March 2009 and put in charge of two catalog websites.

XL Marketing, NYC

May 2011–January 2013
I created and optimized mobile-friendly email designs for in-house surveys and clients while designing and coding landing pages. Collaborating with the content writer, we created Thrifty Tyra, a blog for trendy fashion on a budget. They have since been re-branded to Zeta Global.

Marvel Entertainment, NYC

March 2007–January 2008
Hired from an internship to a full-time position upon graduating CUNY Baruch College, I assisted the senior web designer and developer in assembling the new layout for marvel.com and designed promotional materials for their digital comics line, in-house subscription and promotional web banners, and surveys.
